Work at Whitehouse: Care Guidance and Support Officer

Governors at Whitehouse Primary School are looking to appoint a Care Guidance and Support Officer to work as part of our skilled and dedicated team.  This role provides an opportunity for someone who can make a real difference to the lives of our children.

The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, exceptionally well organised and a good team worker. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, it is essential therefore that the successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, have a high level of personal drive, and resilience together with relevant experience.

The post holder will offer first line pastoral support to our pupils and will take on the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. The Post holder will need to respond effectively to changing priorities, be able to manage a high-volume workload, use their initiative and to work well under pressure as well as having excellent organisation and administrative skills. Confidentiality and professionalism are key attributes for this role. A key part of this role is working with external agencies to provide support to vulnerable children and families and previous experience of this is desirable. The ability to build good working relationships with pupils, parents/carers and other agencies is essential.  The role provides an opportunity to support all children in lessons and support teachers in improving classroom behaviour across the school.  The role also incorporates analysis of relevant data, including behaviour and attendance.  You will need to have or be studying for a relevant qualification.

You will work 37 hours.  The post is term-time only over 195 days.
